"Body"on view from Nov.12 to 19 in Adams Plaza, by the Commuter Lounge:

With this chair we are exploring the intimacy of the body in public
space by animating and making organic an inanimate object. Kate
designed the visual/tactile aspects of the chair to appear inviting
and enveloping, but when sat in to actually feel bodily- the chair has
a spine and various organic textures around its surface. Marty built
the circuitry so that a person sitting with their hands on the
armrests will trigger sounds representing the interior landscape of
the chair's body. Jennifer recorded and mixed the sound elements.
